Photo Gifts - Different Ways You Can Improvise in the Art of Gifting

     There were times when people used to give the largest or the most expensive or the most beautiful gift to a relative, friend or a loved one. The whole idea of a gift is that the gift to create an unforgettable impression in the receiver. So, everyone is always looking for new trends of giving presents. In this process, a completely new way of giving presents have been invented. That is photographic gifts.

Photographs always capture the moments that we need to keep in mind, moments that were captured accidentally, moments that are milestones in one's life. So if one presents someone an unforgettable moment like that, it is sure to be remembered over a life time.

At first, photographic gifts were limited to mere photographs printed, enlarged and framed in various types of attractive frame. But it had soon become out of date because it lost its uniqueness due to wide availability everywhere.

The traditional photographic printing process is usually done in a chemically prepared paper in a 'dark room'. The negative is used to expose the colors of the photograph onto the chemically prepared paper with a contact printer or an enlarger. This was considered good for quality but the process took a relatively long time period. The negative printing process should be conducted in controlled environments such as a dark room by a trained operative. Therefore negative photography is sometimes considered delicate and fragile.

With the introduction of digital printing, the whole printing field took a totally new face. The advantage of digital printing is that it is faster and cheaper than any traditional printing methods but has the same or sometimes more quality. Digital printing is done by inkjet or laser printers and the advantage is that this can be printed onto almost any surface in addition of paper. Therefore, almost any thin can be printed onto fabric, metal, wood, ceramic, plastic, glass and etc.

One type of photographic gifts is printing photographs onto fabrics. Photographs are printed and presented on almost any garment such as T-shirts, trousers, pillow cases, handkerchiefs, and even bed spreads. It is used as an attractive advertising method too.

A photograph printed on ceramic is another popular souvenir trend. Photo printed tea mugs, plates, wall/floor tiles are trendy, long lasting ant attractive. Photographic printed plastic has so many variations. Personalized key tags, mobile phone covers, pens, USB flash drives, etc. Because of the wide usage of plastic, anything that contains plastic can be turned into a personalized photographic gift.

Presents for children can sometimes be a hard case because children are always in a sensational need of something new and unique. Photo printed children's' gifts are rather innovative and interesting. Photo printed jigsaw puzzles are a new way of entertaining gift method.
Photograph printed items are not only used as gifts but they are also used as greeting cards or milestone reminders such as anniversary greetings, birthday greetings, personalized calendars and many more.

Plus, electronic photo frames is another new trend of photographic gift that is the latest so far. Electronic photo frame is an electronic device that has a 7 to 13 inch LCD display and has a memory to hold relatively large amount of photos. This can either be stationed on a table as a stand still photo frame or can be hung on a wall. And the device automatically plays a slideshow of the loaded photos in its memory.
As a conclusion, gifts must be attractive and memorable. Photographic gifts seem to serve this purpose extremely well.
