We're all familiar with old style metal tool boxes. Whether you're a carpenter, an electrician, a plumber or a home handyman, you probably have at least one. In previous generations, they were all you could get and they did the job they were designed to do. However, modern aluminum tool boxes do the same job - store your tools - but they do it better.
One of the main drawbacks to those old metal containers is that whatever dividers they come with, they are all fixed in place, making you have to make do with what you've got. Anything that doesn't fit has to get thrown in on top of everything else in the big catch-all space at the bottom of the box. This doesn't help keep your tools in very good condition and it doesn't make it easy to find things. Modern aluminum tool boxes have changed all that.
Let's say for example, you are a telecom worker. Your everyday tool kit has to include at least a set of 5 screwdrivers, one pair of needlenose pliers, sidecutter pliers, a crimping tool, a punch down tool and a Butt Set. That's just the basics. Usually you buy all of these together and they come with a handy cloth pouch. Since that's what they come with, that's what you use, but as it's never quite right and there's no place to store any other tools or odds and ends that you need.
A small aluminum tool case is what you really need for all of those tools. The great thing about modern aluminum tool boxes is that they come with dividers that you install yourself in the configuration that suits your needs the best. All of the above tools will easily fit into the separate spaces you make for them and there will be plenty of room for other tools as well. For example, if you have two screwdriver sets, one set can go in the screwdriver holders in the lid while the others can go in the case itself.
If you choose a large case, then you can even carry your cordless drill with you, along with all the hand tools you need, an assortment of screws and other fasteners, tape, wire and even a soldering iron. In other words, a large aluminum tool case holds everything and once again, everything is in its own place because modern aluminum tool boxes are fully customizable, unlike the old steel cases.
There's another good reason why you should choose modern aluminum tool cases. They make you look more professional. Communications devices today are high tech devices and people expect those who work on them to have high tech skills. You may know everything there is to know, but if you come into someone's home or place of business with an old style tool kit, they will assume you are an old fashioned electrician and not trust your skills.
Use modern aluminum tool boxes and you show the world that you are up to date with all the latest electronic wizardry. It can only help your image and it will help you do your job, too, because you will always be able to find what you need quickly when you're on the job.
