You might be fresh out of high school and it's your first time to rent out a place or you are just hoping from one city or country to another because of a new job, assignment or even a promotion. Let's face it; moving to a new place is a daunting task. With all of the major adjustments and stuff to transfer, we get lost on how to design our new living place. We may stand confused on how to style our new home because we gotten so used to the old house.
All home or apartment owners want to bring individuality to their living space. Whether it's a modern or vintage themed home, people constantly feel the need to bring in a sense of their persona in their atmosphere. There's no need to stress about it. There are ways to bring a lot of "you" in your new apartment or home.
What is your favorite color?
Everyone has a favorite color. What's your s? Could it be red, purple, beige, lilac, old rose, aqua blue or amber? Pour out your desired color into your space by either doing a feature wall with that color, furniture or the accessories like pillows, vases and knick knacks. Highlight that beautiful color and use it to beautify your space.
Photo up honey
Put up a lot of pictures of yourself or people that you really care about. As it is said, a picture can tell a thousand words. If you have travel photos you can make a collage of it. Let your house exude "you" all throughout. Let your walls tell a story about who you are and the journey that you've taken to be where you are today. This is a great way to introduce yourself to your guests and to let them in with your true depth of personality.
Flowers, flowers, flowers
Put a dozen of your favorite flowers on a slender and chic vase and put them on your coffee table, dine in table or your kitchen countertop. Flowers bring freshness to any place - not only on the visual but the sense of smell also. Make use of them.
Do you have a favorite artist? You may hang his or her paintings on your walls. Again, ask yourself who do you want or what kind of art would you like to represent you. Step outside of that comfort zone. If you don't have a favorite artist yet, search the net for one that you would truly like. But, if you don't have a favorite artist and you just have a mix of paintings then use them. Any painting that tickles your fancy is fine.
Knick knacks and Things
This is great if you are a travel enthusiast. If you have a sombrero from Mexico, a bull cap from the US or beautiful sand and sea shells from the Philippines find a place to beautifully put them. Incorporate your travel acquired knick knacks and things to your space.
Bring a lot of "you' in your space with this simple steps. Let your home or apartment tell a story about how genuine and unique you truly are.
