There are many parts of a great website that must work together in order to achieve various objectives without having visitors stumble around. The crucial thing for developers and designers to realize is that it is not wise to concentrate on one side of the equation and not the other. Optimization is extremely important only if the website is useable and functional to the point that once visitors are attracted, they will remain and return time and time again!
